I view photography as one of the most invaluable gifts we have. Special memories with our loved ones, past versions of ourselves, and the big milestones we get to relive again and again. Growing up, my mom was always taking photos of us. Even when we complained, she’d always say, “These are for me to look back on when I’m old and gray.”

What photography meant to her eventually became what it means to me. I’m so grateful to look back at those images and be reminded of summers by the pool and all the little moments that shaped my childhood.

And even more recently, I can revisit the exact expression on my husband’s face the moment he saw me walking down the aisle. Every photo we’ve ever taken tells a story.

Photography, to me, is the art of preserving those stories so they can be cherished forever — because the moments themselves are always fleeting.
